Our Pay Pal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk.

Job Duties:

Work in an agile scrum team to deliver projects in a timely manner. Building and designing scalable backend services for the Venmo Teen Product. Coordinate between multiple backend service, mobile, web, UX, product, and other internal Pay Pal teams. Support our service during off‑hours while participating in an on‑call rotation. Applying best practices including but not limited to testing, scalability, maintainability, monitoring, alerting and documentation.

This is a distributed team; strong communication through electronic systems the team is kept updated on work progress. Joining regular video team calls and using electronic chat groups throughout the day. Utilize Scrum ticket tracking software to accurately reflect the status. Prioritize code quality, customer focus, and rapid iteration. Design and implement backend solutions for Pay Pal products. Working closely with design, product, and QA teams to deliver world‑class experiences for teen account users.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality products. Design and develop scalable backend systems. Optimize system performance and reliability. Collaborate with team members remotely through electronic systems. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
