Introduction
Advisory Software Developer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):
Your role and responsibilities- Work with product managers to design and build Open Telemetry features that support flexible observability for new technologies.
- Develop and maintain tool chains to streamline customer adoption of Open Telemetry, building a sustainable ecosystem with partners and customers.
- Evolve AI-driven automated observability infrastructure codebase for complete Open Telemetry coverage across all system layers, from agents to frontend.
- Collaborate with support and internal users to resolve issues.
- Create documentation, demo assets, and onboarding resources to improve user experience and adoption rates.
- Work with development teams on integrating Open Telemetry capabilities throughout the platform.
- Contributing code, reporting issues, and enhancing documentation.
- Utilize:
Java, Golang, JavaScript, Generative AI Technology, Open Telemetry Technology, Application Performance Monitoring and Observability Technologies, Kubernetes and Open Shift Technologies.
Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or related (employer will accept a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. $264,514 - $315,800 per year. Full time. H268.
