Summary:
The Senior Android Engineer helps guide the technical evolution of our Android applications, delivering high-quality features and improving architecture, performance, and development practices. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to create fast, reliable, and accessible user experiences. In this role, you influence Android patterns, tooling, and engineering quality while contributing to the long‑term health of the Android platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver major Android features across all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Build modern user experiences using Jetpack Compose and contribute to UI architecture improvements.
- Implement and maintain Graph
QL and REST integrations. - Improve architecture, performance, and reliability through technical initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Work cross‑functionally to define technical requirements, feasibility, and implementation strategies.
- Contribute to platform‑wide tooling, testing, and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of professional Android development experience.
- REQUIRED:
Strong production experience with Jetpack Compose - REQUIRED:
Experience with Graph
QL & REST integrations. - Strong knowledge of Android architecture (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Coroutines/Flow).
- Ability to independently own and deliver complex features.
- Strong communication skills and ability to support best‑practice adoption.
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $70.00 – $79.50 /hour.
