Sr Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description Summary

This role designs, develops, and implements machine learning models and agentic AI systems to solve complex problems such as RCA agents, analytics assistants, documentation automation, and model validation agents. It focuses on ECB regulatory readiness, including data lineage extraction, traceability reconstruction, model documentation automation, and regulatory reporting support grounded in enterprise policies and structured data sources.

• Build agentic AI systems (LLM reasoning, RAG, tool use, workflow orchestration) to improve cross‑functional efficiency.
• Develop agents focused on ECB regulatory readiness and regulatory reporting.
• Build and benchmark traditional ML models (classification, forecasting, anomaly detection) that augment agentic workflows.
• Conduct applied research on agent reliability, grounding, hallucination reduction, and evaluation techniques.
• Preprocess and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
• Deploy ML solutions into production environments using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate ML models into products and services.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models.

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as Tensor Flow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data processing/model deployment tools.
• Several years of designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning models.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $137,500 to $236,500. Actual compensation is based on factors such as location and experience, and may include a performance bonus, equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
