Overview

Backend Software Engineer Graduate (Global E-commerce) - 2026 Start (BS/MS) bal E-Commerce Team focuses on content e-commerce with international short video products, aiming to help users discover and purchase good products at affordable prices and enable merchants to receive reliable platform services in live e-commerce and short video content e-commerce scenarios.

• Develop efficient, highly scalable and secure services that power e-commerce products.
• Optimize backend systems for data security, modularity, computational efficiency, and scalability.
• Design and develop data services and analytics platforms for e-commerce applications.
• Develop best-in-class user privacy and data security engineering practices across product engineering disciplines.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with backend development and at least one of Java/Golang/Python/Scala/C++.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, and scalable systems design.
• Knowledge of databases and messaging frameworks such as MySQL/Redis/Kafka.

• Agile, quick self-learner with strong sense of product ownership and problem solving.
• Passion for software coding/development and building mobile/web applications.
• Good collaboration and teamwork in fast-moving, diverse, globally distributed environments.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $118,657 - $187,200 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. The total package may include discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance from day one, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated).
