What to Expect

The Lead Commercial Installer will work with a cross-functional team of 4-20 members handling all trades required to get the work done, together. The team will be expected to push the limits of construction technology and techniques, and as such will have direct feedback contact with designers, project managers, and business developers related to the program. Skills in all areas of electrical are not necessarily required but the job can and will involve a variety of electrical disciplines.

• Tracking material, keeping the job sites clean and organized for efficiency and safety purpose
• Consulting manuals, read, interpret and use complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, and troubleshoot and correct problems
• Ability to use technology i.e. basic computer literacy, ability to use trade tools and meters to perform the work
• Attends daily and travel up to 2 weeks at a time with short notice and flexibility to work on weekends and overtime
• Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
• Layout and assist in the assembly of solar modules / array, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment
• Solar or construction experience 0 - 3 years

• Lift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force, maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions work off ladders, man lifts or reach booms
• Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling
• Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt
• Must have a valid driver's license and must be insured
• Ability to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.), capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs)
• Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in construction and solar industries, such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards and other similar electrical equipment
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including but not limited to peers and customers

$20.32 - $48.72/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
