• Monitor and respond to regulatory inquiries, compliance risks, and legal obligations in the Portuguese‑speaking markets.
• Ensure Tik Tok meets regional safety and compliance requirements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement risk containment strategies to address evolving regulatory challenges and prevent potential violations.
• Analyze emerging trends in content safety, privacy, and digital regulations to ensure Tik Tok stays ahead of compliance risks.
• Work closely with legal, policy, and trust & safety teams to assess and mitigate regulatory risks.
• Prepare reports and documentation to support regulatory responses and compliance assessments.
• Act as a key point of contact for regulators and industry bodies on compliance matters.
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge‑sharing initiatives to ensure internal teams understand regulatory compliance standards.

• 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, trust & safety, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Political Science, or a related field.
• Fluency in both English and Portuguese. This is critical as the role will be one of the main points of contact responsible for supporting Portuguese‑speaking markets.
• Strong understanding of digital regulations, content moderation laws, and online safety frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Prior experience working with regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies is a plus.

Content that this role interacts with includes images, video, and text related to everyday life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals. The role may be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.

Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $71,778 - $151,112 annually.
