Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Tech/Media Alarm Monitor in San Jose, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will work part‑time as part of a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. In this role you monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter security‑related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and in a problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
- At least one year of security‑related experience.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
