Position/Titles- Armed Security Officer
As an Armed Security Officer
, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities. This role requires vigilance, strong decision‑making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively, access control, and theft prevention. This site can have higher activity—things like theft, trespassing, or frequent incidents. This position requires comfort working in a higher‑activity environment and staying proactive.
- Friday: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
$26.00 per hour
Armed Security Officer Responsibilities- Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.
- Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
- Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.
- BSIS compliance, including 8‑hour Initial Training Certificate and 32‑hour continuing education certificates.
- Clean driving record and ability to operate company/site vehicles safely.
- Experience working graveyard shifts.
- Required equipment:
Tactical vest, handcuffs, and a less‑than‑lethal device such as a baton or OC spray. - Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high‑pressure situations.
