Data Scientist, Research Scientist
Responsibilities
Responsible for executing diverse research initiatives for the global payment team, encompassing user experience measurement, customer insight extraction, and product conversion analysis. By conducting in-depth analysis of user needs and behaviors, this role aims to enhance the value of products and services, drive innovation, and support data‑informed decision‑making.
- Define and measure UX metrics and develop programs for tracking user experience over time.
- Design and implement research, gather insights, and synthesize findings into actionable insights that enable stakeholders to make business‑critical decisions.
- Lead mixed methods research endeavors designed to further our knowledge of user and creator experience relating to e‑commerce onboarding, payments, transactions, and related topics.
- Proactively identify research needs and gaps and develop and implement solutions for scaling our research practice.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to identify critical research questions and understand user and creator needs in the North American market and other global markets.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Business, Statistics, Marketing Research, Human‑Computer Interaction, or other related fields.
- 2+ years experience in user experience research, consulting, or marketing research.
- Proven experience using and appropriately selecting different research methodologies, including but not limited to surveys, interviews, focus groups, diary studies, usability studies.
- Ability to analyze data sets with statistical tools (SPSS, SQL, Python, R) and present findings clearly to influence product direction and business decisions.
- Excellent written and spoken communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment and take initiative to solve problems independently.
- Experience in fintech or related industries.
- Flexibility to collaborate with global teams.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to evolving research needs.

Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $102,400 - $222,934 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
