• High School diploma or equivalent with at least one year of experience as a Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, or Sales Coordinator.
• Professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
• Internet research and database mining experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiation and influence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks; excellent organization and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Vertical flexibility, analytical approach, and proactive strategic thinking.
• Problem‑solving, analytical, negotiation, and contract interpretation skills.
• Effective presentation skills in one‑on‑one and group settings.
• Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market.

• Achieve assigned sales and revenue goals and solicitation call targets.
• Monitor and evaluate market trends.
• Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards, sales metrics, and regulations.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and policies.
• Follow event management procedures (BEO creation, F&B forecasting, room block management, etc.).
• Accurately produce and review catering contracts and event orders.
• Listen to customers, identify needs, and provide appropriate solutions.
• Prospect new business through creativity and innovation.
• Weigh each business opportunity against hotel objectives during Rev Max meetings.
• Utilize yield management techniques and revenue management resources.
• Analyze pricing trends and discuss impacts on occupancy, revenue, and flow.
• Assess competitor strategies and capitalize on hotel strengths.
• Identify process improvements and enhance sales systems.
• Respond to leads and RFPs within 24 hours.
• Maintain accurate and timely internal communication.
• Conduct site inspections, sales calls, and attend trade shows and client events.
• Promote the hotel through community and business networking.
• Maintain visibility in local community and industry organizations.
• Attend daily, weekly, monthly meetings and other management functions.
• Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
