Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Compensation specializing in Sales Compensation will design, implement, and manage competitive and effective sales compensation jobs and programs aligned with the company's strategic goals. This role will involve close collaboration with sales leadership, finance, and HR teams to ensure our job structure and compensation drives the desired sales behaviors and business outcomes. This role will collaborate with the sales incentive team but will not design and manage sales incentive plans such as commission or quota plans.

• Develop and manage the job framework for Net App’s sales organization.
• Design and execute sales compensation strategies that support the company's sales objectives and overall business goals.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning of sales jobs.
• Analyze sales performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of compensation plans.
• Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on sales compensation trends and plan performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with HR, finance, and sales leadership to tailor job structures and compensation solutions.
• Continuously review and improve compensation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in compensation management, with a focus on sales compensation.
• Skills:

  • Proficiency in compensation software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing compensation.

The target salary range for this position is $171,700 - $255,200 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package, which may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), performance‑based incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
