Account Manager

Our client, Japanese Electronics manufacturing company, is seeking an account manager in the San Jose area with 5+ years of electronics or OEM sales experience.

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, prepare quotes, and follow up with customers.
• Develop and execute sales plans to meet targets, KPIs, and company objectives.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers
• Handle technical presentations, product details, and design wins.
• Build strong, long-term customer partnerships through regular visits and communication.
• Collaborate with engineering, technical support, manufacturing, distributors, and supply chain teams.
• Track market trends and competitor activities; share insights with management.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and maintain internal systems.
• Support international sales efforts in coordination with global teams.
• Promote new products through presentations, training, and customer events.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 5-10 years of component sales experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Interest or background in electronics/engineering or OEM background
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for customer visits.
• Japanese language skills (spoken, reading, writing) are a plus but not required.
