Seasonal Merchandiser

Kellogg Garden Products
, a family-owned and operated company with roots that span over four generations is seeking a seasonal Merchandiser.

In this role you will:

• Service product home locations, build and stock displays, and clean products
• Manage inventories, meet with store management, and help answer general gardening questions for store personnel and consumers
• Work in assigned Home Depot stores during peak selling seasons
• Assist customers with their soil selection
• Promote Kellogg branded products

Job Requirements:

• Outdoor work environment
• Ability to proactively and effectively communicate with customers and store personnel
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb and lift heavy objects weighing 50 lbs. or more consistently
• Must have a personal smartphone (Android 4.0 and up or iPhone 9.0 or later) with data
• Reliable vehicle
• Valid driver’s license
• Proof of car insurance
• Clean driving record

Employment/Schedule/

Hours:

• Seasonal (February-June)
• Weekdays (Monday-Friday)
• 30+ Hours

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 to 2 years previous sales or retail experience
• Garden experience is preferred but not required

Required Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences – consumers, store personnel, and internal information sharing
• Proficient in prioritizing, planning and organizing
• Competitive drive to succeed
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and climb
• Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing 50 lbs or more
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and evenings as needed
• Exercise independent judgment
• Must have an Android or iPhone smartphone with data plan
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Proof of car insurance
• Clean driving record

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but NOT REQUIRED
• 1 to 2 years previous sales or retail experience ideal
