Overview
Under the supervision of the Food Services Lead and Staff, the student worker will assist the cafeteria staff in serving meals during breakfast and lunch service. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized serving area, ensuring food safety, and providing customer service to students and staff.
Training will be provided on:
Proper handling and serving of food products
Basic Understanding of Kitchen safety and sanitation precautions
Proper Lifting Techniques
Customer Service
Assist in setting up and cleaning up breakfast and lunch service stations.
Serve meals to students and staff in a timely and courteous manner.
Ensure portion sizes and food presentation adhere to district and health guidelines.
Restock food, utensils, and supplies at serving stations during service hours.
Monitor food to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including wiping counters and cleaning serving areas.
Dispose of trash, organic waste and recycling appropriately.
Greet and assist students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Respond to questions about menu items.
Collaborate with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth meal service.
Must be a current Campbell Union High School District high school student.
Must be able to work 3 days per week.
If 17 years or younger, must obtain a work permit.
If 18 years or older, must be fingerprinted (Instructions on how to be fingerprinted included with new hire paperwork).
Must maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
Dependable and punctual.
Follow established procedures.
Carry out oral and written instructions.
Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds (50 pounds by two employees).
Pulling and pushing carts on a daily basis.
Standing and walking for extended period of time
Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate with students, food service coworkers, supervisor and other staff.

Physical Demands:
Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds (50 pounds by two employees).
Pulling and pushing carts on a daily basis.
Standing and walking for extended period of time
Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate with students, food service coworkers, supervisor and other staff.
Calendar and Compensation: Santa Clara County Minimum Wage;
This is a part-time position limited to meal service (breakfast and lunch);
Free meal provided during work shift.
