Food Preparer

Overview

Food Preparer role at Boiling Point Group, Inc. in San Jose, CA.

• Responsible for preparation of all food items for the restaurant.
• Follow proper placement of food items into pots per BP specifications.
• Chop all food-related items as needed.
• Prepare all ingredients needed for the day.
• Wash and cut vegetables with a knife.
• Maintain general housekeeping of work stations (e.g., trash, washing counters, washing floors).
• Cook food items as needed for the preparation process.
• Cut/slice all varieties of meat.
• Follow appropriate recipes to make sauces.
• Prepare add-on items including vacuum sealing orders to be shipped out.
• Quality control of all items to ensure they follow BP standards.
• Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
• Know safety codes per BP guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with BP’s code of ethics, integrity and conduct.

• Preferred 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant/kitchen environment.
• Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Able to multitask and work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules.
• Bilingual Chinese preferred, but not required.
• High School diploma preferred.
• All candidates are subject to a background check and employment verification process.

• Ability to continuously stand or walk.
• Ability to bend and lift frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Work will be conducted in a kitchen environment.
• May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment.
• May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces.
• Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
