Cook Trainee

Full‑time / Part‑time. Weekend availability. Monday‑Friday. Day shift / Night shift.

Purpose & Summary

Provide patron satisfaction by preparing food that meets BP’s golden standard for recipe execution, appearance, and quality, ensuring an overall great dining experience for patrons.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by BP’s gold standard.
  • Use and maintain all equipment at the station properly.
  • Maintain all equipment machines, powering on and off at the beginning and close of the restaurant.
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
  • Verify that prepared food meets BP requirements for quality.
  • Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
  • Be knowledgeable of all safety codes per BP’s guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with BP’s code of ethics, integrity and conduct.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Preferred 1+ year of experience working in a restaurant environment, preferably as a cook.
  • Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to multitask and work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in computer knowledge, including MS Office Suite products.
  • High School diploma preferred.
  • All candidates are subject to a background check and employment verification process.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Ability to bend and lift occasionally.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently.
Work Environment
  • Work conducted in a restaurant environment.
  • May encounter temperatures ranging from 32°F to 425°F surrounding kitchen equipment.
  • May walk on slippery surfaces.
  • Noise level in the work environment can be occasionally loud.
