Summary / Primary FunctionsThe Quality Control Examiner is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and integrity of the quality management system, including the Therma Quality Policy Statement, QC Standard Operating Procedures, and the ASME QC Manual functions. The role works closely with management and employees to provide the highest quality working environment, develop a culture of excellence, and ensure conscientious record‑keeping and performance. The examiner administers construction quality programs, code compliance, GMP, GDDP, training, and adherence to corporate procedures.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Implement and continuously improve QC procedures, programs, policies, and culture.
- Create a workplace culture committed to highest quality and customer‑complaint‑free performance.
- Perform welder training and witness certification testing of shop and field welding personnel.
- Investigate all external and internal customer complaints and other non‑conformances, determine root causes and preventative measures, and assist the QC Manager with corrective action plans.
- Inspect production welding and assemblies routinely to identify and correct potential workmanship issues and ensure code regulation compliance.
- American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- Alignment with the company’s core values and ability to lead by example.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, independent work capability, and engaging training and presentation skills.
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a welding quality or welding‑related position.
- Current valid California driver’s license.
- Experience with ASME Biopharmaceutical Equipment documentation and quality control requirements.
- Experience with SEMI standards for high‑purity installation in the semiconductor industry.
$45,000 – $50,000, depending on experience.
