The JobAs part of the front‑line team, you’ll handle a wide range of emergency cases—from triage to discharge—providing nursing care, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical‑care nursing.
What You’ll Do- Provide compassionate care for patients and pet parents throughout the entire visit.
- Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments.
- Administer medications, conduct monitoring, and perform advanced procedures such as IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions.
- Communicate and collaborate with the clinical team, contributing to treatment plans.
- Perform CPR and other life‑support interventions.
- Handle diagnostic imaging, sample collection, tube placement, anesthesia, central lines, endoscopy and ultrasound.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA‑accredited program preferred.
- Credential in veterinary technology (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of practice; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/anlgesia is an added advantage.
- 1+ years of experience, ideally in emergency or specialty medicine.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with practice‑management software and electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Fine motor skills for handling patients and equipment.
- Physical stamina for standing, kneeling, lifting up to 25 kg alone and 40 kg with assistance.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
- Empathetic and people‑centric, supporting colleagues and patients alike.
- Demonstrates humility, acknowledges mistakes, shares credit, and seeks continual learning.
- Owns responsibilities, commits to long‑term impact, and stays positive in a fast‑paced environment.
