Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church is a vibrant, multicultural community committed to living the Gospel, promoting Ignatian spirituality, forming disciples, celebrating the Eucharist, and serving the needs of God’s people. The YAM (Young Adult Ministry) supports this mission by accompanying young adults (ages 18–39+) in their faith journeys. We strive to be a safe space where young adults can encounter God’s transforming grace, cultivate authentic relationships with one another, and grow in faith through service and community.
Most Holy Trinity seeks a person with strong pastoral and leadership skills to serve as the parish Young Adult Minister. In collaboration with the leadership team (SALT), he/she will help develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive ministry for young adults whether single or married within the parish that are in alignment with Catholic teaching and parish priorities. The YA Minister will build community and grow the ministry by creating opportunities for evangelization, prayer, spiritual formation, leadership and service.
We envision this position to evolve into a full-time position based on the development of the ministry.
Servant Leadership
- Serve as the lead of SALT (Servants-as-Leaders Team).
- Serve as the lead coordinator to organize and host a weekly young adult event (Faith-Filled Fridays).
- Collaborate with SALT and other young adult leaders in developing, planning, and implementing events related to service/social justice, building community, and prayer for young adults.
- Provide spiritual support and development to those involved in Young Adult Ministry.
- Participate in ongoing spiritual and communal formation with SALT.
- Offer talks/presentations in a variety of settings, adapting Ignatian Spirituality to young adults of diverse cultures and contexts.
- Collaborate with Christus Ministries to promote the Caritas retreat, JJJ (Java, Jazz, and Jesus) and other Christus events in the Bay Area.
- Build relationships with other young adult ministries in the Diocese of San Jose.
- Serve, discern, and collaborate with SALT using “discernment in common” as the habitual way of proceeding.
- Maintain consistent communication through social media, Flocknote, email, flyers, and parish announcements.
- Attend monthly YAM meetings.
- Attend MHT staff meetings as needed; collaborate with clergy and parish staff.
- Maintain an updated database of young adults via Google Drive.
- Submit annual calendar year room reservations for YAM events
- Accurately record, track, and categorize all financial transactions, and develop annual budgets for YAM.
- Other duties as seen fit by leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- 1+ years experience in young adult ministry.
- A. in Theology, Pastoral Ministry or related field (or relevant experience). MDiv. or Master’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Catholic teachings, catechesis, and documents related to young adult ministry.
- Strong Catholic values and a willingness to grow in faith.
- Proficiency in administrative organization, mentoring, accompaniment, and public speaking.
Salary Range: $22.00/hr. – $26.00/hr. based on education and experience
