Overview
We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change. At the Alzheimer's Association, diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission.
The Association leads strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity. These strategic initiatives also strengthen outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis. By partnering with organizations locally and nationally to advance diversity and inclusion, the Association can broaden its reach in all communities.
“Do What You Love to End ALZ” volunteer committee invites you to help inspire others to turn their passions into purpose!
We’re looking for a volunteer who enjoys creating content, engaging online communities, or promoting events to help raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Whether you’re a marketing pro, a social media enthusiast, or someone who just loves spreading positivity, your skills can make a real difference.
Responsibilities- Help create and share engaging social media posts and stories highlighting local participants and events.
- Work with the committee to promote the “Do What You Love to End ALZ” campaign online and in the community.
- Brainstorm creative ways to reach new audiences and encourage participation.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure brand consistency and amplify key messages.
- Enjoys social media, marketing, communications, or community engagement.
- Creative, organized, and enthusiastic about supporting a great cause.
- Comfortable working independently with guidance from staff.
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, or Canva is a plus (but not required).

Do What You Love to End ALZ
” invites people to take what they love — whether that’s baking, hiking, painting, or performing — and turn it into a personal fundraiser to help end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
