Tech Equity Ai serves as the branded public‑facing identity of Tech Equity Inc. Our flagship event is the “Tech Equity Ai Summit,” a series of high‑impact events designed to foster innovation, broad participation, and education in AI. In addition to our flagship initiative, Tech Equity Ai also hosts monthly events that keep our community engaged year‑round through ongoing learning, networking, and hands‑on exploration of emerging AI tools and ideas.

Role Overview
The Business Development Volunteer supports Tech Equity Ai’s growth by helping identify partners, building pipelines, and assisting with outreach across the AI, education, and nonprofit ecosystem.
This volunteer requires a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week for at least six months
, with the possibility of extension. Volunteers receive mentorship, structured support, and opportunities to contribute to high‑impact programs, collaborating with partnerships, marketing, events, and community teams. Those who perform strongly may be considered for promotion from Analyst to Associate. A two‑week transition notice is expected from both sides for volunteer periods shorter than six months.
- Conduct market and ecosystem research to identify potential partners, speakers/ exhibitors/ sponsors, and collaborators.
- Build and maintain prospect lists and support outbound outreach efforts across email, Linked In, Eventbrite, Apollo, and other channels.
- Assist in partnership development for the Tech Equity Ai Summit and other year‑round programs.
- Collaborate with communications, events, and program teams to align messaging and share insights.
- Test new outreach approaches, track performance, gather feedback, and share findings with the team.
- Support event‑related partner engagement and preparation as needed.
- Current student or recent graduate with an interest in business development, partnerships, marketing, or nonprofit operations.
- Strong interest in AI, technology, innovation, and social impact.
- Comfortable with outbound communication and professional outreach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented.
- Bonus:
Familiarity with CRM tools, Linked In Sales Navigator, Apollo, or experience in sales or BD. - Join Tech Equity Ai monthly events throughout the year, including workshops, community programs, and a major flagship event.
