Pay RangeBase pay range: $23.00/hr - $26.00/hr.
Position SummaryRole requires completing training, attending key events, and being available during high‑demand periods. Responsibilities include maintaining a secure, clean cupboard space, managing accurate inventory through Smart Cookie, and coordinating cookie pickups with troops. Cupboard clerks facilitate equitable inventory access for troops and support troop partnership. Effective communication, problem‑solving, and community support are crucial and include assisting with donations and engaging independent Girl Scouts.
The role supports volunteer guidance, youth engagement, and community impact.
- Wed 1pm – 6:30pm (5.5h)
- Thu 2:30pm – 6:30pm (4h)
- Fri 2:30pm – 6:30pm (4h)
- Sat 8:30am – 12:30pm (4h)
- Complete all required position‑specific training.
- Ensure availability during key program periods, especially during high‑demand times.
- Cupboard Management:
- Maintain a clean, dry, smoke‑free, and pest‑free cupboard space at a council‑secured location.
- Handle cookies with care to maintain product integrity.
- Ensure the security of the cupboard space to prevent theft or damage.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and signed receipts for all transactions.
- Record transactions daily in Smart Cookie and verify the accuracy of picked‑up products.
- Cookie Deliveries and Transfers:
- Establish and publish availability hours for cupboard pick‑ups in Smart Cookie.
- Facilitate cookie exchanges and troop‑to‑troop transfers as needed.
- Support and Coordination:
- Ensure equitable access to cookie inventory for all troops.
- Encourage and facilitate partnerships between troops to meet mutual inventory and sales goals.
- Include and support independent Girl Scouts in the program.
- Problem Solving and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with troop volunteers, SU teams, and council staff.
- Problem‑solve with patience and sensitivity, addressing issues as they arise.
- Qualifications:
- Approachable, friendly, and understanding of the benefits of the cookie program.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to use provided tools, platforms, and resources.
- Commitment to GSNorCal Culture Code, including anti‑racism, anti‑oppression, and gender‑inclusive practices.
- Guide volunteers in managing their cookie inventory effectively.
- Build a supportive community network, encouraging youth engagement and goal achievement.
- Promote community engagement and foster a sense of giving back among Girl Scouts.
