About Archer AviationArcher Aviation is an aerospace company building an all‑electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed to carry four passengers with minimal noise. We focus on sustainable air mobility and value inclusive teamwork.
What You’ll Do- Assemble and test custom propulsion mechanisms for the Midnight aircraft.
- Build the engine, integrated tilt mechanism, and propeller system.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process validation.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, debugging during assembly and testing.
- Ensure all quality and safety standards are met for aircraft safety.
- Build basic lab fixtures and tools, providing feedback for improvements.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and conduct inspections and measurements using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, feeler gauges, microscope, borescope, etc.).
- Document and report quality findings.
- Associate’s degree or 5+ years in aerospace or automotive industry (preferred).
- Hands‑on mechanical assembly experience with technical documentation.
- Experience in fastening operations, bearing presses, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to follow build instructions and document deviations.
- High workmanship standards with meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic drafting skills to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools (calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, feeler gauges, microscope, borescope).
- Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methods.
- Experience following maintenance safety protocols (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.).
- Experience with ERP and MES software.
- Experience working with safety‑critical aerospace components.
- Experience in an R&D environment.
- Hourly pay between $35.00 – $50.00, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Safety‑sensitive role with required background check and drug screening.
- Full‑time safety protocol compliance (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.).
