Scope

Must maintain a safe work area while operating chemical processes and high-speed equipment. Must meet or exceed output targets by understanding product flow and handling procedures within the department. A Plating Operator will be exposed to hazardous waste and will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to performing duties and ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate wet process equipment for PCB panel processing, including manual copper plating, solder plating, silver immersion, gold immersion, electroless copper, electrolytic gold, outer layer etching, organic coating, and hot air level processing.
  • Set and maintain chemical processing equipment within operational parameters.
  • Cautiously load racks in plating tanks and ensure proper temperature/current of baths.
  • Read blueprints and traveler documents to produce and move products according to customer specifications and verify completed operations.
  • Follow work flow dispatch and adjust for Hot Jobs and customer requirements.
  • Immediately report any and all quality issues with panels and chemical baths to supervisor and/or Process Engineers.
  • Assist Process Engineers in running chemical process evaluations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all chemical machines.
  • Use all required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately.
  • Follow safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste regarding use, mixing and disposal of chemicals.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of process chemistry.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds without straining.
  • Ability to stand throughout the shift.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to perform the job.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years experience in the Wet Process department or related chemical environment preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Benefits begin on the 1st of the month following date of hire. Some positions may offer PTO and holiday benefits only.

Compensation ranges vary based on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $45,694 - $72,226. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly bonuses. Some roles may be eligible for a shift premium based on shift and location.

Export Statement

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. Responsibilities include identifying ITAR products on the floor, restricting access to authorized personnel, badge differentiation for foreign visitors, following authorization procedures for foreign visitors (VAL), understanding export/ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US, and managing vendor ITAR approvals.
