Temp Mechanical Assembler; swing shift

Temp Mechanical Assembler (swing shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm) Job Purpose

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

• Must apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
• Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
• Must display the ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) in English.
• Minimum of 4 yr. experience in a high volume Assembly manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to do mechanical assembly.

• Must be available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hr. /wk.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must have the ability to assemble products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
• Must be able to properly use manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of basic electronics components.
• Able to identify Resistors, Capacitors, Transformers, Inductors, Components polarity.
• Able to Handload components into PCPA (Prefer to have IPC 610).
• Has experience with quality control of SMT and PTH.
