Overview
The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the financial health and strategic direction of the organization. This position requires a high-level strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of budgeting, forecasting, and compliance while also being proactive in identifying cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and managing a small team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
The role presents challenges, including tight deadlines and the need for innovative process improvements. A collaborative approach is essential, as the Accounting Manager will work closely with various stakeholders to drive financial success.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $130000 / Year DOE
- Oversee financial health, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyze and report on expenses, providing insights for cost savings
- Engage with customers and vendors to negotiate financial terms
- Review and ensure compliance with payroll taxes across states
- Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries and financial reports
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable staff after a designated period
- 1-5 years of experience in accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field such as finance
- Proficiency in Excel, including charts, pivot tables, and vlookups
- Industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Supervisory experience preferred
- HMO and PPO medical plans available after 30 days of employment.
