Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Paralegal for a highly respected full-service business law firm in Northern California to support their attorneys in employment litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience handling legal support tasks across employment law and litigation, including personnel actions, class actions, discovery, and document preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in managing personnel actions and providing advice and counsel.
• Support class action litigation, including management of evidence and coordination of discovery efforts.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as motions, complaints, briefs, and responses to interrogatories.
• Interview clients and witnesses in preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Coordinate and manage e-discovery processes, including working with outside vendors and contractors.
• Utilize Excel and other tools for data creation and analysis to support litigation needs.
• Perform a wide range of legal support work, as permitted by the rules of the California State Bar.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a paralegal in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
• Experience in employment law or class action litigation.
• Paralegal certification or related education.
• Strong knowledge of California State Bar rules and regulations regarding legal support staff.
• Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other legal research or case management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
