Position: Employment Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm with a national presence is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney for its San Jose, CA office. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment law matters in a hybrid work environment. Location:

San Jose, California

Duties:
  • Litigate and defend employment-related lawsuits and agency charges
  • Provide legal advice, counseling, and training to employers on labor and employment law topics
  • Represent employers in court, arbitrations, mediations, and before administrative agencies
  • Handle matters involving wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contracts, employment torts, non-compete agreements, and class/collective actions
  • Engage in legal research, case preparation, and strategic litigation planning
  • Class Action and PAGA experience preferred but not required
  • Requirements:
  • 4–6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in employment law
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal agency procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload independently
  • Proven commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and effective teamwork
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Education:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Strong academic credentials required
  • Certifications:
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing
  • Skills:
  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
