This role is responsible for overseeing the intake process, providing strategic legal consultations, and managing a team of intake professionals. DutiesConduct initial legal consultations with potential clients and recommend immigration strategiesSupervise intake paralegals and contract preparers to ensure completion and accuracy of questionnaires, scopes, and retainersReview and assign new business intake files for further evaluationCommunicate key findings to the Intake Committee to support decision-makingSupport hiring and training efforts for the legal intake teamPresent immigration law concepts clearly to potential clients and intake staffProvide guidance on family-based petitions, removal defense, humanitarian relief, and naturalization casesOccasionally review immigration application packets and assist with case preparation or strategyConduct legal research and offer analysis on potential immigration benefitsProvide quality control on legal briefs and filings as neededRequirements3–5 years of immigration law experienceBilingual in English and Spanish with full professional proficiencySupervisory or team leadership experience preferredBackground in client intake, legal triage, or legal sales is a plusAbility to manage a high volume of inquiries while maintaining legal accuracyDemonstrated experience with family-based petitions, EOIR (detained and non-detained), and USCIS applicationsComfortable escalating issues and proposing logical, well-reasoned solutionsEducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
CertificationsActive membership in a U.S. state bar (California preferred or ability to obtain prompt admission)
