eBay is the leading Trading Cards marketplace platform in the world, and Trading Cards is one of eBay Live’s strategic verticals. This role is meant to enable the acceleration and scaling of key Trading Cards initiatives: bringing strategic clarity, execution rigor, and cross-functional alignment.
eBay Live Program Manager - Trading Card Case breaks & Repacks role sits at the intersection of strategy, program leadership, and operational execution. This individual will own a portfolio of high-impact initiatives across Trading Cards for eBay Live, and will be tasked with ensuring that initiatives move quickly and with discipline, from strategy through execution.
This is a high-visibility individual contributor role ideal for someone with a consulting background or recent MBA who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business problems, and can translate strategy into action across a diverse set of stakeholders.
What you will accomplish:Strategic Initiative Leadership
- Own and lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives across Trading Cards (e.g., category growth plays, seller programs, partnerships, incentives, operating model improvements).
- Partner with category leadership to shape priorities, frame decisions, and translate strategy into executable plans.
- Develop clear problem statements, success metrics, and execution roadmaps for each initiative.
- Act as a connective tissue across Category, Programming, Product, Marketing, Ops, Finance, Legal, Trust, and Analytics.
- Influence without authority: aligning teams around shared outcomes and clear ownership.
- Partner with external sellers, creators, and strategic partners to drive execution where needed.
- Bring structure to ambiguity: define processes, templates, operating rhythms, and documentation where they add value.
- Identify repeatable patterns and help scale best practices across the Trading Cards portfolio.
- Balance speed with discipline — enabling the team to move fast without breaking fundamentals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of operating experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or startup experience in Strategy, Ops, or PMO functions. Strategy consulting, banking or similar experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, with ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
- Strong analytical skills: comfort with financial modeling, ROI analysis, and KPI design.
- High ownership mindset with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$86,800 - $150,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
