This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity ideal for students or early-career professionals passionate about AI and social impact. About Us

Tech Equity Inc. is a nonprofit organization that democratizes access to artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge and applications.
Tech Equity Ai serves as the branded public-facing identity of Tech Equity Inc. Our flagship event is the “Tech Equity Ai Summit,” a series of high-impact events designed to foster innovation, broad participation, and education in AI. In addition to our flagship initiative, Tech Equity Ai also hosts monthly events that keep our community engaged year-round through ongoing learning, networking, and hands-on exploration of emerging AI tools and ideas.

Role Overview

The Researcher plays a central role in shaping the content, partnerships, and global reach of Tech Equity Ai Summit 2026. The position requires a commitment of at least 25 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months
, with the option to extend. This position conducts deep research across the AI ecosystem to identify:

  • High-impact speakers, researchers, founders, and innovators
  • Relevant venture capital firms and investors
  • Corporate, nonprofit, and academic partners
  • International pavilion leads (government innovation agencies, consulates, global tech hubs)

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role in a dynamic environment. While a volunteer position, it upholds high standards aligned with Silicon Valley’s tech and nonprofit sectors. We seek independent, resourceful problem-solvers with relevant experience who can apply their knowledge immediately and take ownership of key responsibilities. Adaptability, initiative, and independence are essential. This is not a training-based role, it’s an opportunity to engage in meaningful, high-impact work within the AI and technology sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research speakers, founders, researchers, and AI leaders.
  • Map VC firms and identify relevant partners/scouts.
  • Scout corporate, startup, and nonprofit partners aligned with our mission.
  • Identify international delegations and innovation agencies for pavilion programs.
  • Organize findings in structured databases and present insights to program leaders.
Qualifications

Required

  • Strong research skills; comfortable synthesizing information from websites, reports, Linked In, startup databases, academic conferences, and VC portfolios.
  • Excellent written communication and the ability to present findings clearly.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Genuine interest in AI, startups, VC, innovation ecosystems, or global technology development.

Preferred (not required)

  • Experience with tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, Crunchbase, or Apollo.
  • Coursework or background in business, technology, communications, or international relations.
  • Join Tech Equity Ai monthly events throughout the year, including workshops, community programs, and a major flagship event.
  • Gain meaningful real-world experience and build a strong professional portfolio.
  • Receive mentorship, guidance, and cross-department exposure to develop versatile skills.
  • Networking opportunities with professionals from large corporations, emerging startups, VCs, and creative firms in Silicon Valley.
  • Eligible for a certificate of completion/ letter of recommendation upon fulfilling your commitment.
