Job Summary:

A Sr. Solution Manager is responsible for providing solutions-based thought leadership within Supermicro while bridging the network, data center market, cloud and IT infrastructure into compelling solution and service offerings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Possess a “big picture” mind set in collaboration with the ability to always think beyond a single project or business domain
  • Create product roadmaps and develop strategy for successful services deployment based on deep understanding of customer requirements
  • Managing technical resources within the organization to address client needs when necessary
  • Define and provide creative solutions and overcome constraints to meet customer requirements in demanding markets
  • To understand and resolve challenges by collaborating with internal business partners and technical team members. Lead in preparing RFP total solutions response
  • Act as escalation point for Global Services Solution & support. Lead services solutions for all North America & Global Direct, Partner and OEM programs
  • Overseeing deliverables and documentation as required supporting the Supermicro service organization
  • Create positioning statements, marketing, and sales training materials, product specifications
  • Present training material to internal sales force as well as externally at customer sites. Willingness to travel periodically to visit customers and attend trade shows
  • Conduct competitive analysis and develop ecosystem with partners in the industry
  • Drive technical issues to closure by arranging resources and engaging with other engineering team to duplicate and debug
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to Global Service team
  • Emphasis on service while providing technical guidance and driving delivery of high‑quality solutions
  • Design, build, preconfigured and integrated solutions that are certified and packaged into Supermicro Infrastructure Packaged Solutions with emphasis on service
  • Plan, install and manage HW/SW solutions
  • Responsible for Service business and RFP support with focus on Enterprise & Mission‑critical services solutions
  • Responsible to setup the Service program, collaterals and training to Sales, FAE and customers to pitch our services solutions
  • Responsible for Service readiness and enablement of Service operations including enterprise service desk, Parts, Depot, FE network using organic and inorganic growth mindset for rapid expansion
  • Responsible to execute on the Enterprise SLAs and add‑on enterprise service solutions
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with Key Customers
  • Travel required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' or Masters' degree in engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering preferred
