Dev Ops Engineers

This excellent client is the leader in enterprise data management allowing businesses to rapidly execute any marketing initiatives, achieve one-to-one marketing and deliver great user experiences.

We are looking for Dev Ops Engineers for both our client’s San Jose CA and San Diego CA offices, with a keen understanding of infrastructure and operations, particularly with solid experience developing cloud based solutions and products with AWS (S3, EC2, etc.) and scripting experience (Python, Ruby, etc) with a background to provide operational support and process improvements.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems and plan and perform Operating System and software upgrades.
• Develop and support cloud infrastructure designs and implementations while being directly involved in the software deployment process.
• Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to development teams and provide appropriate documentation.

• Minimum 5 years of infrastructure/operations experience, ideally in a start‑up environment in a Dev Ops culture.
• Post Implementation Support background with virtualization (Xen/KVM) + AWS (S3, EC2, etc.).
• Experience in an agile software development environment.
• Network management experience (including network stack, network tuning, load balancing, subnets/VLANs).
• Experience with automated deployment and automated software tasks.
• Understanding of file system and storage configurations such as NFS, SSD data replication.
• Hands‑on experience with configuration management and orchestration tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience with systems monitoring tools such as Zenos, Nagios or Sensu.
• Solid scripting background (Python, Ruby, etc.).

• Big Data tech (e.g. Hadoop, Solr, Elastic Search, Cassandra).
• Common open‑source technologies (e.g. Apache/Tomcat, Nginx, MySQL).
• Enterprise Wiki tools like Confluence.
• Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Issue Tracking and Project Management tools (e.g., Jira).
