• Design, build, operate and optimize Byte Dance's global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
• Work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to compute, storage, database, and recommendation system to drive the innovation and evolution of Byte Dance network.

• Good network knowledge, such as OSI and TCP/IP model
• Basic understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP
• Understanding of basic public cloud concepts
• Hands-on experience of network devices, such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper etc
• Self-motivated, good communication and written skills.

• In-depth knowledge of public cloud architecture, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, etc.
• Familiar with mainstream commercial switch/router chipsets, such as Broadcom, Barefoot etc.
• Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv4-IPv6 co-existence technologies.
• Programming/scripting in Python or other languages.

Compensation Description (Annually):
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $144000 - $153600 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
