Position: Web Content Specialist (Webflow & Shopify)

Job purpose:

We are looking for a Web Content Specialist with a strong foundation in Webflow and Shopify, passionate about transforming creative concepts into engaging digital experiences. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining websites and eCommerce platforms while ensuring visual polish, brand consistency, and technical performance. This is a remote role ideal for candidates fluent in English and Spanish with a keen eye for UI/UX and content integrity.

    Remote (open to candidates based in Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia; must be able to work on a UTC-6 schedule)

    Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.

    - 5:00 p.m. (UTC-6)
  • Job Type: Fixed-term, full-time position (approximately 1 month) with potential for extension
  • Language Proficiency:
    Professional proficiency in Spanish and English (C1 reading, writing & conversation)

    Immediate availability preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain high-impact, responsive websites using Webflow and Shopify.
  • Upload, edit, and manage product pages, collections, and assets in Shopify.
  • Ensure visual consistency and content accuracy across pages, languages, and devices.
  • Collaborate with content creators to review product descriptions, media assets, and brand alignment.
  • Customize sections and components in Webflow and Shopify to meet design and UX specs.
  • Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and accessibility (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse).
  • Implement minor frontend fixes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Lead QA, quality control, and content governance processes across platforms.
  • Manage templates, content blocks, and CMS workflows.
  • Maintain and update existing websites with new features, campaigns, or content.
  • Ensure cross-browser/device compatibility and WCAG compliance.
  • Analyze site metrics and propose performance or usability improvements.
  • Stay updated on Webflow and Shopify trends, features, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate creative briefs into functional outcomes.
Required Academic Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Visual Communication, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Webflow or CMS certifications are a plus
Required

Skills and Experience:
  • 4+ years of hands‑on experience creating websites with Webflow and Shopify.
  • Experience managing eCommerce content (products, collections, promotions) in Shopify.
  • Proven ability to build and test proof‑of‑concept prototypes, integrate CMS‑based components, and perform root‑cause analysis of authoring, rendering, or content delivery issues.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UI adjustments.
  • Strong design eye and ability to execute responsive, polished layouts.
  • Advanced use of Figma and/or Adobe XD for UI design collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for asset optimization.
  • Experience optimizing websites for speed, SEO, and mobile‑first performance.
  • Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Solid QA, testing, and debugging abilities across browsers and devices.
  • Background working in agile workflows (Scrum/Kanban) with tools like Jira, Asana, Click Up.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to clearly document authoring standards and provide guidance to business users.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration in both English and Spanish.
Nice to have
  • Webflow Expert Certification or advanced Webflow University training
  • Shopify experience including theme customization or metafield configuration
  • Experience with Webflow CMS API, Lottie animations, or JavaScript embeds
  • Familiarity with tools like Zapier, Make, Airtable for CMS/data automation
  • Knowledge of version control (Git) for design‑development collaboration
  • Experience with multilingual websites and localization workflows
  • Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar for design optimization
