** As a Machine Learning Engineer on Venmo’s Data Science team, you’ll tackle high-impact challenges that shape how millions of people move and manage money with friends, family, and businesses. Our work spans personalization, retention, trust, discovery, and growth — from predicting churn before it happens to powering Venmo’s search and recommendations, to building smarter fraud and risk models. You’ll leverage Venmo’s unique social graph and financial ecosystem to design ML solutions that drive engagement, safety, and meaningful product experiences.

** With a strong background in Machine Learning and practical experience in building and implementing predictive models to solve business problems, you will help to bring insights and identify additional opportunities from Data & Machine Learning to market.

Key Roles and

Responsibilities include:

* Develop and implement advanced ML models, such as gradient boosted decision tree, LLMs, Clustering and deep learning models, to solve critical business problems related to Venmo.
* Design and deploy scalable ML/AI solutions that enhance Venmo's ability to provide a seamless customer experience, by working closely with our engineering group
* Communicate complex concepts and the results of models and analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing partners and customers with your insights and expertise.

Basic Requirements:
* Masters degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) with 3+ yrs. of relevant industry experience or PhD with 2+ yrs. of relevant industry experience
* Great track record delivering solutions with attention to detail and efficiency
* Experience in any one of Product or Marketing domains is a big plus
