Strategy & Operations Senior Associate

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Business Operations team, embedded within the Office of the CEO, works closely with Net App’s top executives and our three business units (On-prem storage, Public Cloud Storage, and Cloud Operations) to ensure that the company stays on its profitable growth trajectory. The team plays an active role in some of Net App’s boldest and most strategic decisions in defining and driving greater operational rigor across the business to accelerate our pace of execution.

Today, Net App is leading the way in how our customers get the most out of their data with industry-leading cloud data services, storage systems, and software.

As a Strategy & Operations Senior Associate, you will join a highly entrepreneurial team, including alumni from top management consulting firms and versatile professionals in Enterprise IT. We partner with key stakeholders to define and refine strategy, solve complex problems, build scalable processes, analyze business performance, and execute critical cross-functional initiatives that enable Net App to achieve its business objectives. You will play a role in driving needle-moving cross-functional projects, building relationships with several top executives across the company, and will gradually specialize in one of Net App’s business units.

This position provides unparalleled senior executive exposure and is often the avenue to unique functional leadership roles at Net App.

• Structure complex problems and drive solutions and processes with multiple senior stakeholders to deliver high business impact
• Provide thought leadership and strategic advice to leaders across the company
• Tackle hard questions with rigor and perseverance, owning the project from problem definition to final recommendation
• Present recommendations and lead discussions across multiple levels of management
• Lead multiple projects and/or work streams independently
• Assist in the development and execution of AI-driven strategic initiatives to drive business growth and operational efficiency
• Support establishing project guardrails and KPIs to capture progress and value of AI projects and contribute to visualizing updates to C-Staff
• Work with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders to structure complex problems, drive alignment, and implement strategic AI projects
• Wear the hat of a product manager to build AI solutions that provide C-Staff with real‑time market and internal performance data and insights at their fingertips
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions

• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills
• Strong people development and leadership skills, able to manage multiple extended and/or virtual teams
• Demonstrated project leadership experience, with the ability to develop and lead projects end‑to‑end
• Familiarity with the enterprise IT industry, particularly the storage market, products, and technologies
• Experience in building trusted advisor relationships and influencing others, working effectively with people at all levels in an organization
• Strong presence in front of senior executives, comfortable in both business and technical discussions
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for understanding the fundamental drivers of business success and competitive advantage
• Proven ability to structure complex problems, develop clear hypotheses, and drive towards actionable recommendations
• Experience with AI projects or technology‑driven initiatives is a plus

• 3–5 years of total professional experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or a similar analytical role
• MBA preferred, but not required
• Experience in top‑tier management consulting or a Strategy & Operations role within a high‑tech or enterprise technology company is highly beneficial
