Overview
UI Architect (SDE 5.5) – GenAI Enterprise Experiences are looking for a UI Architect and a Technical Leader to build, develop, and deliver innovative enterprise applications that integrate Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities with the full Adobe Experience Cloud UI. This role plays a key part in crafting the next generation of digital experience tools for enterprise marketers. It transforms the practitioner’s creative ideas into successful outcomes at scale and with high quality.
As a senior leader, you will set the technical vision, support engineering teams, and promote innovation in user-centered experiences. You will operate where advanced UI engineering, system architecture, and GenAI integration converge, ensuring our solutions remain innovative, efficient, secure, and engaging for enterprise customers.
- Architect and lead the build of complex, scalable UI systems and frameworks for the Adobe Experience Cloud’s GenAI UI division.
- Define technical vision and standards for front-end development, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and performance across products.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of high-impact features, prototypes, and workflows that streamline enterprise creative processes.
- Partner with Product, UX, and AI/ML teams to translate business requirements and GenAI capabilities into elegant, interactive solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies (e.g., A2A protocol, WebGPU, WASM, advanced rendering pipelines) and integrate them into production systems.
- Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, architectural mentorship, and guidelines in testing, security, and performance optimization.
- Act as a technical advisor and mentor, encouraging growth within the engineering organization and influencing cross-functional strategy.
- Engage with enterprise customers and partners to understand and solve real difficulties, validate solutions, and ensure measurable impact.
- Proven track record with 15+ years of technical leadership in large-scale, complex projects with distributed teams.
- Outstanding communication and influence skills—able to align and persuade collaborators and drive consensus in technical direction. High emotional intelligence. You aren’t afraid to say no.
- Strong architectural experience with building systems, component libraries, and performance-critical UI. You collaborate with others to find the right solution for the right context.
- Deep expertise in modern front-end technologies and development tools:
Type Script/JavaScript, React
JS, Web Components, state management, and build pipelines, security, the works. You will be the goto for deep expertise. - Solid understanding of server-side integration patterns with any protocol.
- Experience writing tests before coding and CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML, especially generative models and LLMs.
- Knowledge of advanced web technologies:
WebGPU, WASM, canvas rendering, and a major bonus for practical experience having shipped a Web UI with real-time collaboration patterns. - Skilled in security, scalability, and improving performance within enterprise environments. A sense of humor is required.
- Familiarity with design systems and working closely with UX teams.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $173,500 -- $331,050 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $228,600 - $331,050. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
