Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA, Inc.) provides pay range information for the role of a Benefits Analyst on a contract assignment in San Jose, CA (also open to San Francisco, CA).

Base Pay Range

$45.00/hr - $49.30/hr

Responsibilities
  • Benefits team program and operational support
    • Serve as the first point of contact for benefits escalations to the appropriate benefits COE or Rewards Ops team member. Monitor cases and channels (e.g., Slack: Benefits‑talk, Service Now tier 3 tickets, bswift, ERC, webinar chat), observe and report on trending issues, research specific concerns, and resolve working with employees, vendors and COE as neededificance.
    • Provide information to explain benefits and changes to Empty employees and answer employee queries about benefits policies ad‑hoc and during benefit meetings, benefit fairs, as needed. May include updating healthcare content in call‑center training decks and FAQs.
    • Administer bswift: review and update open‑enrollment requirements, update text and plan details, test the bswift enrollment tool and Emma for annual open‑enrollment readiness, perform final test of the OE site after vendor and Rewards Ops sign‑off.
    • Review communications content for open‑enrollment, year‑end video libraries, PDFs, OE website and health‑care blogs; handle ad‑hoc and mid‑year work on  content, birthday cards, vendor customatinations, and vendor microsite reviews.
    • Support events: liaise with spyware and external teams for healthcare events, including scheduling, fulfillment, confirmation of vendor attendance and signage, and support programmatic webinars by coordinating scheduling, promotion and collateral review.
  • Compliance
    • Review SB, plan booklets, schedule of benefits and other compliance documents, coordinate with program managers to support compliance implementation and posting.
    • Support legislative requirements such as healthcare transparency, mental health parity (reviewing documents, posting mandatory employee notifications, tracking, scheduling).
    • Contribute to compliance administration, such as non‑discrimination testing, PCORI fees, SFHCSO liabilities.
