Overview

The program emphasizes a team-based treatment approach that integrates evidence-based therapeutic interventions, behavioral support, crisis intervention, and Child and Family Team facilitation. Clinicians work with youth and families to provide a comprehensive range of services, including individual, family, and group therapy; case management; and collaboration with natural and professional supports. Clients also have access to coordinated medication management. Works within the vision, mission and philosophy of the agency, and with limited supervision, provides comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, risk assessment, clinical interventions, case management, and coordination of therapeutic activities in the community.

  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $MIN - $Step 7 per year/ per hour; depending on experience, location and internal equity considerations
  • 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD. and select Peer Certifications
  • 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions

About our Program

At IOP, clinicians work with youth and families to provide a comprehensive range of services, including individual, family, and group therapy; case management; and collaboration with natural and professional supports. Our program emphasizes a team-based treatment approach that integrates evidence-based therapeutic interventions, behavioral support, crisis intervention, and Child and Family Team facilitation. Clients also have access to coordinated medication management.

Responsibilities
  • Completes assessments and evaluations that are culturally relevant and appropriate to youth and family strengths and needs, including identification of target behaviors and the function of those target behaviors.
  • Independently develops effective treatment plans with clear and measurable intervention strategies, tailored to child and family strengths, needs and cultural preferences.
  • Provides clinical leadership regarding family system observations and relays behavioral data to team in strengths-based, solution-focused ways throughout engagement, stabilization, planning, intervention and transition.
  • Records and collects clinical information in ways that promote and reflect family input while maintaining accountability to risks and threats.
  • Independently coordinates the integration of Functional Behavior Analysis and plans into overall child and family service plans with family members, referral sources, collateral contacts, community resources and other agencies involved with the child’s plan for stabilization and wellness.
  • Facilitates the development and refinement of effective behavior and risk-specific safety plans.
  • Monitors effectiveness and efficiency of interventions with youth and families.
  • Demonstrates proficient skills in conflict management and mediation of teams.
  • Meets revenue and productivity standards.
  • Develops and maintains effective personal organizational systems for paperwork and information management to support timelines and priorities.
  • Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support department/business needs.

Minimum Education And/or Experience
  • Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Social Work, Marriage Family Counselor, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • One (1) year of supervised clinical experience with children.
  • Registration with the BBS or BOP required
  • Licensed according to California state law (Welfare and Institutions Code section 5600.2) or become licensed within the designated time frame.
