Overview
The Language, Speech and Hearing Specialist assesses, diagnoses, and develops individualized programs for students with communication challenges to support their learning.
Responsibilities- Conducts assessments, interprets results, and collaborates with teams to set goals within students' IEPs.
- Provides remediation through individual and group instruction, modifies programs as needed, and evaluates student progress.
- Serves as a resource for staff and parents, offering consultation, inservice training, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintains compliance with regulations, keeps accurate records, and pursues ongoing professional development.
Qualifications include appropriate state credential.
