Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Program Manager, the Center Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and coordinating in‑house and outside appointments for On Lok participants.
Duties / Responsibilities- Generate specialty referrals and schedule both in‑house and outside medical appointments.
- Provide all necessary documents required for medical and specialist appointments.
- Cancel or reschedule appointments and inform participants and families.
- Enter and track all appointments in Pace Link Scheduler.
- Complete paperwork for all medical appointments.
- Complete appointments for audiology, podiatry, dental, optometry and other specialty referrals.
- Generate referral forms for visiting Primary Care Physician (PCP) and enter them in Pace Link.
- Send all documents to PCP after appointments are completed.
- Obtain and keep track of diagnostic requests and billing forms as needed.
- Prepare podiatry forms for podiatry visits.
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with providers, participants, family, and team members.
- Update Pace Link Scheduler for changes related to the appointment.
- Prepare and maintain monthly calendar for specialists in Next Gen PM.
- Provide coverage for other schedulers as needed.
- Call facilities to obtain test results if not reported to clinic in a timely manner.
- Prepare paperwork related to meals and transportation for appointments.
- Coordinate services such as transportation, meals, translation, and escorts.
- Perform all other reasonably related duties as assigned.
- Minimum two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with the elderly.
- Knowledge of healthcare and proven experience in medical billing and scheduling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to participate in all aspects of the organization.
- Bilingual ability may be required for specific assignments.

Salary: $25.33 - $33.77 per hour.
