Responsibilities- Perform periodic formal assessments and evaluations, determining patient needs and setting measurable objectives in conjunction with the treatment team.
- Provide cognitive/neuropsychological feedback to patients, families, and the team regarding rehabilitation issues, test results, and their practical application.
- Offer counseling/psychotherapy and education to patients and families about the adjustment process and program outcomes; lead groups as appropriate.
- Design community reintegration activities to assist patients with psychological/cognitive needs during physical activity; help them understand limitations and how to manage them.
- Document treatment progress and status in the plan of treatment, adjusting as needed.
- Report progress to rehabilitation staff, patient/family/support system; document changes in patient condition.
- Participate in team processes, provide inputs and effective treatment strategies; attend case conferences and family educational meetings.
- Develop, teach, and assess the plan of treatment; supervise Rehabilitation Specialists/Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Adhere to company policies, HIPAA, and professional standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- PhD or PsyD in Psychology or accredited training in Neuropsychology.
- Maintains professional Psychology license and/or certification as required by the state.
- Minimum two years post‑doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology.
- Minimum three years clinical experience in assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
- Current BLS, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organized and able to function under minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to/ between multiple assignments/locations on a daily basis.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds; may lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Fine motor skills; visual acuity.
- Duties require extensive standing and walking; lifting, positioning, pushing, transferring patients; frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
Salary Range: USD $90.00–$95.00 /Hour
