Travel Physical Therapist - Home Health

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health setting, requiring BLS certification and at least 1 year of recent home health experience.

Job Details

• Home health setting across multiple counties in California, covering geriatric and wound care patients,

• Patient load is based on a minimum of 23-24 visits per week with a focus on patient-centered care rather than daily quotas,

• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no required weekend shifts,

• No on-call required, but may be discretionary,

• Charting must be completed in the clinic using Kinnser/Wellsky; taking charting home is not permitted,

• Travel throughout assigned and potentially surrounding counties may be required,

• Mileage is reimbursed at IRS standard from first patient to last patient only,

• Dress code is any color scrubs with closed-toe shoes,

Job Requirements

• Current BLS certification required,

• Active and valid state license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable,

• Minimum 1 year of recent home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience,

• No hits on professional license,

• Ability to chart using Kinnser/Wellsky EMR system,

• Must be punctual, self-motivated, and able to complete charting efficiently,

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include providing physical therapy to home health patients and wound care management,

• All required compliance documentation must be provided before starting patient care, with an onboarding process that may take 2-3 weeks,

• COVID vaccination required with declination allowed for religious reasons; flu vaccination can be declined with appropriate documentation,
