Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Barber/Stylist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide exceptional hair and beauty services while ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment for our clients. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in barbering and cosmetology, as well as engage in upselling additional services to enhance the customer experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and mentor junior staff will be key to your success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality barbering and cosmetology services, including haircuts, styling, coloring, and nail care.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction with each service provided.
- Upsell additional services and products to enhance the client experience and meet business goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with front desk operations, including scheduling appointments using MINDBODY software.
- Mentor junior stylists and barbers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative environment.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, makeup application, and nail care techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Barber/Stylist with a valid cosmetology or barbering license.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience with makeup application is a plus.
- Familiarity with MINDBODY or similar scheduling software is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
