, we are seeking an experienced in-house Tax Accountant / CPA to support our financial operations and long-term growth.
We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant / CPA to work closely with leadership and internal teams to manage the company’s tax and accounting functions. The primary focus is ensuring all federal, state, and multi-state tax filings are completed accurately and on time, while also contributing tax insight to financial planning and business decisions.
This role combines compliance and strategy. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted internal advisor with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns accurately and on schedule
- Gather and analyze financial and tax information to streamline compliance
- Support financial planning initiatives from a tax perspective
- Prepare tax projections and planning analyses
- Serve as the primary contact for internal tax-related questions
- Prepare and oversee federal and multi-state corporate, S Corporation, and Partnership returns
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Communicate with the IRS and other tax authorities as needed
- Work independently while collaborating with internal teams
- Deliver clear, well-researched recommendations with strong attention to detail
- Active U.S. CPA license in good standing (preferred); CPA-eligible or EA considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 4+ years of accounting and tax experience
- Experience with federal and multi-state corporate tax filings
- Strong understanding of U.S. tax law and compliance
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
- High level of professionalism and accountability
- Experience with accounting and tax software (Quick Books preferred)
- The ideal candidate has experience supporting SMBs, mid-market, or enterprise businesses
- Provides both tax compliance and proactive tax planning
- Is detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
- Communicates complex tax matters clearly to leadership
- Takes ownership and approaches the role as a long-term business partner
- Salary starting from $125,000 annually
