Overview

Sagent Management is a growing and dynamic accounting and tax firm headquartered in Silicon Valley that offers accounting, tax, and management consulting services to publicly-traded companies, privately-held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.

The Tax Associate - Sales Tax is primarily responsible for preparing and reviewing state sales tax returns. We are looking for a talented individual who wants to be an important part of our dynamic team.

• Prepare sales and use tax returns.
• Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies with state and local tax issues, including compliance, advisory services, planning, and controversy.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
• Research and draft technical memoranda regarding state and local tax issues.
• Conduct tax research and planning.
• Maintain a good working relationship with clients.

• BA/BS degree, Accounting and/or Finance major preferred
• Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of tax laws and issues
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and complete projects in a growing and fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
• High proficiency in Excel and tax software
• Ability to work independently and manage a team
• Excellent attention to detail
