San Jose, CA
Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2

Job Description

We are looking for a Program Manager Event Operations & Experiences who is passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable event experiences. This role is ideal for a hands-on project and program manager who thrives in fast-paced environments, is highly organized, and can flex to evolving business needs. You will own end-to-end event planning and execution, partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and continuously improve event processes through data, reporting, and retrospectives.

The role requires strong operational rigor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple medium-to-large scale events simultaneously.

Key Skills
  • Own end-to-end event management and production, including logistics such as venue management, catering, transportation, on-site coordination, and vendor oversight
  • Plan and manage event content, promotions, and event-related marketing activities
  • Build and deliver post-event reports, retrospectives, and insights, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain processes to track, measure, and report event impact to key stakeholders
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams and manage multiple vendors, agencies, and partners to successfully deliver events
  • Support and execute medium to large-scale events, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the operational and technical needs across a variety of event formats (in-person, hybrid, virtual)
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning, event management, program management, or project management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets, including tracking, reporting, and data formulation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to strategize at a high level while executing tactically in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and automating operational processes
  • Familiarity with the developer relations or developer community space
  • Experience supporting events for technical or developer-focused audiences
