Green Waste is seeking to fill the position of a highly motivated, professional, self-directed, and enthusiastic Scale House Attendant. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment with a team that works well together. The position has a high learning curve and requires key functions, skills, and qualifications for success. This position is based at our office at 980 State Highway 25, Gilroy, CA 95020, and some travel may be required.

• Assist customers with service information, provide accurate costs, and accept payment for inbound and outbound transactions.
• Learn material classification and review loads.
• Work well in a team setting with team members, supervisors, managers, and customers.
• Attention to detail for data entry.
• Manage traffic control and provide site direction to offload materials.
• Punctuality and attendance are essential.
• Potential for cross-training at other nearby sites.

• Ability to climb stairs to review loads, reach above shoulders, and prolonged sitting or standing

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish

• Climbing stairs up and down frequently throughout the shift
• Frequent standing, walking, and semi-frequent sitting
• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Ability to push, pull, and lift objects up to 75 lbs
• Constant bending and twisting

Typical work week is night shift;
Monday through Friday, however Saturday and Sunday work may be required. Overtime may be required as needed. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in settings with frequent changes in equipment and start/end times based on operational needs.
